Ashley Tisdale Shares Fun Baby Names She Considered

No matter what number baby you’re expecting, choosing the perfect name can take time for many parents. It’s not unusual to find yourself going through long lists to find the right one. Should it be summer-themed or holiday-inspired? What about a botanical name or one from mythology?

Seriously, the list can feel never-ending. 

Ashley Tisdale seems to have searched through a bunch of names herself, before deciding on one for her second baby on the way. 

The actress filmed a TikTok video sharing a list of baby names she and her husband Christopher French were considering.

“Here are some baby names that we are not using that I really loved when thinking of what we were going to name the next baby,” she says.

She goes on to list both boy and girl names and names that could be used for either.

Check out her list below and the meanings of the names:

• Bodi: This Slavic name means “God protect the king,” according to Nameberry.com. This name can also be spelled Bodhi.
• Meadow: This nature-inspired name may remind you of Meadow Soprano from the hit HBO show The Sopranos.
• Leif: This one means “heir” or “descendant.” But it can also be spelled as Leaf, making it nature-inspired.
• James: This name was the fourth most popular boy’s name in 2023, according to the Social Security Administration (SSA). It is of Hebrew origin and it means “supplanter.”
• Clementine: This is a Latin name that means “mild, merciful.”
• Indy: This fun name came in as the 918th most popular name in 2023. This can also be spelled Indie, which is a bit more popular—it was the 579th most popular name that year.
• Levi: This Hebrew name means “joined, attached.”
• Reyna: This name can also be spelled Reina and Raina and means queen.
• Zinc: This unique name comes from the mineral.

There were some winners among commenters, including Indi, Clementine, and Meadow. Many were not in favor of Zinc and Leif. 

Tisdale didn’t reveal what they are actually planning to name their second. But, perhaps, it will be just as fun as their first’s—the High School Musical alum and French are parents to 3-year-old Jupiter Iris French.
